Over the holidays I had a day that I just felt particularly stressed out. There was a lot going on internally and externally and I let it build up. It was nothing impossibly hard to deal with, just a lot of things that I needed and wanted to get done in a short amount of time.
Well I proceeded to do the POWER HOUR that I try to do every morning when I wake up. This tends to happen around 8 o’clock nowadays, because that’s sunrise here in lovely Silverdale, WA. I take my dog out for a 20 minute walk in the brisk fresh air. Getting out in nature and breathing in all the clean air is instantly energizing. Also having an excited 9 month old Corgi/Beagle on the leash gets my blood pumping in the morning. He needs to see everything and FAST.
After 20 minutes of studying I proceed to write thoughts into my journal and plan out the rest of the day. My stress is gone at this point. I feel prepared, energized, and focused. My confidence is raised and I feel ready to tackle all the things on the schedule for today.
If you wake up in the morning feel completely overwhelmed by the world try doing a POWER. It did me good and it can do good for you too.
