A girl after my own heart, Lori Martin loves to spend time outdoors near the beach. Although she says she has been overweight for most of her life, this firecracker is ready and willing to try new adventurous things. Adventure to Live Better held a Launch and Blog-Warming Party on the 1st of this year. Martin walked away with a free giveaway; she won a personalized meal plan created to help her with the goal to lose weight. After the party I decided to do a little interview with her to see what her Adventure Fit Style was like.

How often do you like to exercise and what are some of your health and wellness goals?
I'd like to exercise 6 days a week--even if that means just getting in a walk. I have always been overweight, so if I can just build better habits that lead to a healthier lifestyle, that would be a huge win! My goals are to feel energized, lose weight, and reduce my dependence on blood pressure and cholesterol medication.
What is one of your most adventurous memories?
White water rafting was probably the most adventurous and most fun ever! I absolutely loved it.
Do you have a favorite sport?
I like watching hockey, but you won't see me on the ice!
What is your favorite outdoor recreational activity?
Kayaking is my favorite thing to do outside. It's so peaceful to glide along the water and the paddling is a nice challenge, too.
What gear or gadgets do you use to workout and stay active?
I use Runtastic Pro on my iPhone to track my walks. I love that I can listen to music and have coaching along the way with it.
How would you describe your fitness style?
My fitness style is inconsistent. The only thing I did consistently besides walking is spinning. It is addicting! But can also be expensive.
What is something adventurous you would like to try?
I would love to try zip lining!
What is a fitness/clean eating weakness of yours?
I'm great at finding excuses and sugar always convinces me that it is more fun to hang out with than my running shoes.
What are your goals for 2015?
This year I want to make daily walks a regular thing, and I'd like to lose some lbs!
